Hi stubbers and gotg’rs

Due to the (much needed) rain that Sydney has experienced this week and the forecasted downpour, the next STUB v GotG BBQ has been re-scheduled to Friday 7th December. All other details stay the same.

So update your calendars and hope to see you there at the new date. More info as it comes up.

The best end-of-the-year party, Web Blast 07, has been announced recently and registrations are now open. So if you want to meet people from various walks of Technology, then go ahead and register for free at the Web Blast site. Places are limited, so hurry before the tickets run out and hope to see you all there.

STUB’rs and GotG’rs around Sydney.

We at the STUB HQ believe that it is time for a combined STUB and GotG gathering. This time, rather than being stuck indoors at a pub for STUB and rather than having just the geeks at the GotG meetups, we have decided to combine the two and have a good ol’ BBQ in the outdoors. Details are as follows:

When: Friday 30th Nov Friday 7th Dec 2007 from 5.30pm onwards
Where: Centennial Park (near the paddington gates, cnr oxford & moore park rds - precise details to follow)

The location is relatively central, outdoors in a safe environment, there’s a playground for the kids or inner children, and importantly there are bbqs that can be used.

A HUGE thanks goes out to Happener yet again for their continued support with this awesome meetups. They have offered to supply a range of assorted bbq products / foods, some liquid refreshments, and even some outdoor toys to keep the geeks happy. But feel free to bring something along if you have any special dietary requirements or if you wanna share some of your awesomeness in the kitchen.

We look forward to having your company with us and please feel free to bring along your family/partners/pets/kites/etc.

Ok guys, here’s one for you. We, the organisers of STUB3 and GotG2, would like your opinion on when you’d like this to happen.

We are planning a bbq, and have 2 dates so pick one and let us know.
